The first General Assembly (GA) of the RIPEET partners “in presence” (the previous ones were held remotely due to the Covid) was held in Brussels at the ERRIN HQ on February 12 and 13, 2022. The work of GA took place according to the four dimensions of the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI): Reflexivity, Anticipation, Responsiveness, and Inclusiveness.
First – the RIPEET partners reflected on the concerns and policies connected to the energy transition in the three regions of the RIPEET project (Extremadura / Spain, Outer Hebrides / Scotland, Ostrobothnia / Finland); as well as on the results of RIPEET in the first year of implementation. Second – the RIPEET partners focused on anticipation and, more specifically, on the on-going activities for the creation of regional visions and related transition pathways in the three above-mentioned regions, and on how anticipate policy-changes related to the energy transition in these regions. Third – the focus was on the tools (toolbox, handbook, call for solutions, etc.) that allow RIPEET to respond to its various challenges, related to the set-up and operation of the Transition Labs in the three regions. Fourth – RIPEET’s capacity to include other territories and actors through its dissemination and communication activities and the involvement of Mirror regions was the focus of the discussion.
With ZSI, K&I was responsible of the GA session devoted to Reflexivity.
